Seems like Painted silver wheels are gonna look much better on
the pewter car than the polished.... we just
need to see the evidence to make sure.
I don't think polished or chrome look right with Pewter. That's why I was considering black only but I'm wondering what hyper silver would look like. That would be my only other alternative.
I think chrome looks good on any color, but I may be "old school". I have a friend with pewter vert with OEM polished thin spokes, I think they look good.
But I'm also curious about these hyper silver wheels, they look great on the cars pictured, would like to see them in person. I'm in the market right now for C6Z06 wheels, been looking at chrome, of course. Wonder how the hyper silver would look on mag red vert?

These are Comp Grey and although you cannot see it from the pic they have a Blue hue to them that is not as bad as it was last year (maybe UV is degrading this tint) But I am thinking either of the Hyper color would be an improvement.
Yes It is Hyper Silver. Just an FYI, I weighed the wheels on a Calibrated UPS shipping scale. 18" X 9.5" fronts were 27 lbs each and the 19" X 10" rears were 29 lbs each.
Anyone have hypersilver on quicksilver metallic? Also i was trying to see pricing on tomzwheels site and i'm bieng asked for a password. Cant find the hype rsilver on ebay either any suggestions?
Thanks for the info, I should have asked where you found them also.
So, where did you get them? I've not seen these at the usual places and I've been looking to replace my magnesiums.
Well I work for the Canadian distributor of these wheels. I'm pretty sure you can get them from tomz wheels on the forum. If not here is a link to the website, I'm pretty sure you can find a dealer that is close to you.
Thanks Vaughn! I'm really happy with them, love how they look and they are relatively light. Only downside is they won't clear the Baer 6 pistons that I wanted to get. Not such a big deal, as these cars stop fairly well as it is.
Here's a pic of the car with the old wheels. The new wheels make a huge improvement, IMHO.
