That road would be fun to drive if it were CLOSED to oncoming traffic. The way that driver took it with other traffic coming on was just an unnecessary risk. IMHO.
DC,
What the hell? Did he come close to hitting anyone? NO, is the answer. When he was apexing it was not on blind corners. You are probably one of those holier then thou "Take it to the track" guys. You guys get down on anyone having a little fun. That IS a time and place for everything. Thai is both. Everyone on that road knows what goes on and keeps that in mind. Why don't you sell your car and buy a Honda Civic.
Jeff
Interesting place this forum when it comes to having your performance car perform... I posted a poll last week attempting to see how many of us actually "play" with our cars a bit, but was shut down. By the time the thread was locked, the ration was 2 to 1.
The tail of the dragon is getting more and more popular with people showing up from all around the country. On the weekends there is a ton of sport bikes, cars, and crusiers driving that road. Be careful out there!

nice video, but IMHO I hate lane crossers. that one way to get killed or to kill someone. I'm up there with my friends quite a bit and don't want me or them to get hurt so please keep it in your lane.

I couldnt agree more! Unlike Jeff, I have actually been in a head-on collision due to someone else crossing a centerline. A performance car is a great thing to have and of course fun, however, there are others to be concerned about. You need to be respectful of other drivers and running across the centerline repeatedly as if you were on a one way track, is stupid, dangerous, and illegal. IMHO. And since when should I have to sell my vette b/c I dont agree with your juvenile driving choices? Why are your opinions more valid than mine?

Looks like one heck of a lot of fun driving that road. But, have to agree that crossing the centerlines is not the best thing to do when the road carries two way traffic.
The Dragon is a fun ride, but can be dangerous. I just missed hitting a boat trailer because the guy coming around the corner was riding the yellow line and his trailer was in my lane.
Personally I do not have an issue with crossing the line if there is a clear line of sight, which most of the time in the video there was...but a couple of times it was a little risky. The Forum police will address this in their usual manner.
