Default Dyno Tune

I just asked a local speed shop what a Dyno tune would be and they said it costs 499 to get a EFIlive license and then 150 an hour for a tune plus labor. He estimated for a complete tune it would be 900-1100 dollars. I was wondering what the average price of a dyno tune is?

That's a serious rip-off!!! Tune should be around $400, $500 max.

You need to find an HONEST SHOP to do business with. At the very worst, if you don't have a local tuner jump on one of the specials wher you send your computer to a real shop and they tune it for you and send it back.

I had LG Motorsport dyno tune mine for 500.00 last year. You can get much better than these guys to. I would run away at that price.

That's a little extreme man. I got mine tuned at RevExtreme for 500 on the initial tune and 250 for every tune after that one. Shop around. Where are you from?

If you can't find a local shop to do a dyno there are some venders that do mail order.

Sounds like they might be trying to buy an EFI license on your nickel and then charge you for the tune on top of that.

Seek greener tuning pastures elsewhere . . .

Im in colorado. It was just a tune with the chip on the dyno. They charge 150 an hour for dyno time and whatever they do to the chip is extra im trying to find other places im willing to drive anywhere in colorado or even west kansas.

Vengeance Racing did my tune after the cam and header install. Any tunes in the future I just have to pay for the dyno. I'm thinking itwas around $450. $1100 is a rip off!!!
