I respect your guys opinions and advice so hear it goes. I have a 98 With the stock Bose radio and CD changer in the back. Sounds OK but needs to be better. Rear speakers are worthless. Any suggestions without breaking the bank? Upgrades to radio or speakers? Both? What are you running with? Pointers to other related threads ? Thanks.

Are the rear speakers limited in high frequency response? They are not meant to have low frequency response. That comes from the door speakers.
keep the stock head unit and get an amp and 1 sub and front components. I just had it done and love it! EDI components and sub. kicker 650.4 amp and flush mount box from Dave at NCR
I got tired of my bose system too, and decided to upgrade;
Head Unit - Kenwood pop-up DVD/NAV 7" display, with separate iPod and Sirius adaptor/receiver.
Amp - Kicker ZX650.4
EDI 6500 2-way speakers for the door
EDI Slim 10" sub in the rear,
Usual peripherals to set everything up.
I got my (great) recommendations and help from DPG (Dave) and pentavolvo (Greg) here on the forum - they're local here in chicago area and will help with the install.
It should rock!
