Default Invisichord Installation

I just received a radar detector mount and Invisichord. A wiring chart was included which seems pretty self explanatory. I was wondering if it is possible to remove the wiring harness from the mirror without removing the mirror? Any suggestions or tricks to installing the Invisichord would be much appreciated.

Yes, unplugged the connector from the mirror and pushed the invisa cord in. Do have to make sure you push the pins in the wiring harness pretty good to make good contact. On mine, used a wire ty to secure the invisa cord to the radar mount from the visor mount. Works great.

It's also easy to remove the mirror and see the wires clearly then rehang the mirror.

I (and many others) were able to make the connections without disconnecting the harness, let alone removing the entire mirror.

I did not remove the mirror or the harness. just turned the mirror and used my wife's make up mirror to inspect the harness and while looking into the mirror located and installed the invisicord pins into the correct harness connectors.

I had to gently use a pair of pliers to remove my plug from the mirror.

I removed the harness from the mirror but did not push the harness in tight enough when re-connecting it. The radar detector worked fine but I noticed the auto-dimming mirror and the map lights on either side of the mirror didn't work. I thought I had some type of fuse problem until I discovered what the problem was.

When pulling the harness out of the back of the mirror with pliers, is there any kind of detent or tab that has to be released first, or do you just pull the harness straight out?

The plug does have a tab (on bottom I belive) that must be pressed, then it pulls out. I did not have to use pliers, just pushed in the tab, and pulled out
