Default Predator Question

I just bought a Diablo Predator. I see that there's a performance tune and the options of changing shift points, fan switches, etc.. As a novice do I just stick with the performance tune and not mess with the more in depth options? And if so what will the performance tune change/do? Thank you

If you are going to change parameters, make sure you understand what you are doing. Parameters like fuel trim need a dyno to make sure it's correct.

If youre M6 or M12, you can change with the fan settings and CAGS delete, aside from the generic power tune it was supplied with. If you're A4, you can do shift points.

I have an M6. I had taken off my powertune and I really do not feel a difference between with or without. My mileage is also the same with or without. Im pretty much stock with an intake and exhaust. I adjusted my fan settings and installed a lower t*stat just because I like to run cooler in hot weather.

EDIT: PM forum member Mike L. He can provide you a better answer and even help you get a better tune for your car with your mods.

Goodluck.

Unless you have knowledge of tuning just go with the factory preprogrammed tune, you will be happy. If you start to add in more mods then find someone for a totally different tune (LS1 or HPLive)or a shop that deals directly with Diablosport(supporting tuner) and they can help you out .
