Default What would be louder???

I am currently running a B&B Bullets exhaust with ARH 1-7/8" long tube headers and high flow cats! The motor is stock expect the Supercharger.

I will be getting a forged motor the summer and I know that with the more agressive cam that will come with it, the B&B will become unberable. I was thinking about Corsa Indys!

What do you guys think will be louder:
1)Stock motor with ARH LT with HF cats and BB Bullets?
or
2)A forged motor (mild cam) with ARH LT with HF cats and Corsa indys. The motor should be a L92 416 (with a mild cam, not too agressive)!

3) Iam sure it is not possible but do you think that the bigger cam will just change the sound characterisitc or will it also increase the Decibel level?

It can be crazy loud at WOT, I don't mind. What is important to me is to have something a little quieter at cruising speeds (or when I leave at the trafic light). I don't want to get in trouble with cops.

Bump
I know the Bullets are louder than the Corsas but I am wondering if the cam would still make the corsas quieter than the Bullets on stock motor!
I will need to quiet the vette down to avoid ticket! I hit the limit of cops tolerance here

David I can help you out here. My buddy has Borla Stingers with his blown stroker setup and it is way louder than mine. If it was me and I also have the AR 1 7/8 headers I would go with the Corsa Pace Car setup like I have, though I have no Cats My car is now more throaty sounding at idle and louder only at WOT and I really like that

Here is the vid from my dyno runs with TPIS headers, no cats and the Corsa Exhaust

Nice vid! Thanks Steven! I am going with Corsa Pace car. It should be reasonable when cruising and will scream at WOT

Here's a drive-by of my 402 stroker with Corsa TOURING (yellow car @3:50 remaining):

I know the touring is generally considered anemic, but they will surpise you when added to a deep breathing larger displacement motor.

I had SLP Loudmouths on my C5 which are supposed to be as loud as bullets and then I switched to Corsa Indy Pace Cars and I will tell you that at WOT, the Corsas were almost as loud, but with a more refined sound. I would predict that with the motor changes you are proposing, the Corsa Pace Cars on a forged 402 will be louder than bullets on a stock motor at WOT, but quieter at idle and cruising. I would think that you would be happy with that setup, when I had the Corsas on my stock C5, it was relatively quiet unless at WOT- changing the motor will only make them sound better!
Good Luck!

This is exactly what i was going to say. Great idea here. My friend has it and it's awesome. Whenever we go into a tunnel he flips a switch and they open up

Plus u can turn them back off without getting out of the car. So if a ricer pulls up and revs at you, hit the switch, look over, and make poo come out of that fartcan.

Thanks guys!! I really appreciate all your help!

Mr Lucky, your car sounds awesome. I sounds pretty loud. I wouldn't have thought so from the Touring. Now I need to choose between the touring and pace car version.

Have a great day guys!!
