not related to your ramps but I like your body colored front plate bracket. until I can move into a front plate less state I think I'm going to do that to make the thing look less obnoxious. Did you find an off the shelf can of touch up paint which matched well? if so what was it and where did you get it? I only ask because I've bought "computer matched" paint before which ended up being a completely different color. Don't want to make that mistake again.
yes, very nice. I've always liked the way the C5 treats its font plates. its the most subtle way to do it. The surround does need to be body color though. I also have a red C5 and now that I see how it looks, I've just got to do it. I just noticed in your info that you're pretty close to me. I'm in Chesapeake, VA.
Thanks guys! I was planning on getting two lenghts of 2"X12"X8' (makes two ramps). Cut them into three different lenghts: 1) approach - 48" or 50"; 2) intermediate step - 30"; 3) resting pad -16" (w/2"X2"X12" on top).
This gives me a 4 ft long ramp with a 18" or 20" approach, a 14" intermeddiate step and a 14" resting pad and a 2" stop on it. Other materials: A box of #10 screws, glue and non-skid pads for the bottom.
This will allow a lift of 2, 4 & 6"s. Now if I could just get enough lumber for a 10 or 12" lift........ Now someone tell me WHY I need a ramp!!!
