I always read threads about wheel hop on hard shifting, etc., but I have not once had a slight bit of wheel hop on my 03 Z. I am in the 400rwhp range and have ran at the track several times and shift hard. I bought the car used, so there is a chance that the shocks are aftermarket, but I would doubt it.
I was only asking because I am interesting in the new Koni FSD shocks. Alot of people are changing to these to eliminate wheel hop, but I never experienced it on the Vette so I thought maybe I had a different shock already.
Had bad wheel hop here. Replaced the factory shocks and went with Bilstein Sports. Now, I can launch at 5000 rpm and the rear just plants itself. No wheel hop at all.
Wheel hop can be bad, very bad. Ask me how I know? Once is all it takes then boom.
Out put shafts help, as well as a brace, and tires with more side wall. Shocks, well, maybe. I am thinking about taht route too as I can not afford any wheel hop. Good luck man!

Me too, with an '02. Hops like a spaz with tourettes. Did it stock, and it's worse with over 450rwhp. Cold weather, and harder tires make it worse. Let us know if the shocks help, but keep in mind, if it's 90 deg. ambient, that'll be a factor.
