Just installed my Corsa exhaust this afternoon and they sound incredible. What a great tone! I have a feeling my gas mileage is about to drop.
Here is my question- I bought a used exhaust advertised as Touring. For whatever reason, last night I looked down the inlet pipe and noticed that it was a solid pipe all the way down. According to some research i had done, that would make this a pace car exhaust as quoted below. My tips do not have Corsa etched into them so I believe that makes them an older set. Does the statement below include Corsa's older systems as well?
"You can tell if you have a Corsa system by looking into the inlet side of the muffler. It should be straight tubing all the way through. They are a non-packed muffler so there should be no perforated tubing. If you can see a set of slots in the tubing just inside the inlet, you have a touring system. There may be three or four depending on when the mufflers were built. You won't see anything but plain tubing if it is a pace system."
Hope this helps.
For the record, I was looking to trade my touring for pace car exhaust so i am happy with this outcome.
i never looked down the inlet of mine. but, if they are substantially louder than stk i would guess you are correct. you can go to their website and see description and sound of the two sets. try here for sound. the one on the right is way cool http://www.corsaperf.com/c6_z06.htm this is the new Z06 at that link. this one shows the tips you are talking about http://www.corsaperf.com/pro_3_5.htm they are the same as mine with no etching in them.
I saw the thread earlier today talking about your exhaust. Unfortunately, I can't really tell. i went to the sound clips at Corsaperf.com, but the one audio is kind of distorted. i think they are pace cars, just not completely sure.
Are they loud? If so, they're pace cars. Touring sounds close to stock.
Idle seems slightly louder, but not a lot. Acceleration is significantly louder, but not obnoxious. I guess I need top hear it from the outside of the car.

I have the Pace and its a lot louder at idle than stock.I have headers ,high flow cats and a cam so that would have some affect on it.Is you stock ?

Sure sounds like you have the Pace Car system. A friend of mine has the Touring System and it is definitly quieter under acceleration. After I put the Pace on mine, I put on the Corsa x-pipe and that made a much better sound at idle. Gets rid of the "Motorboat" sound

You make it sound like the "Motorboat" is a bad thing. I like that sound. To each his own I guess.
