Default Mini-tubbing question

I'm thinking about putting 18x12 inch wheels on the back of my vert and they require mini-tubbing to tuck in. I'm trying to figure out how much of a PITA it is to do and what's involved.

Thanks in advance.

: Kevin. What's this about wider wheels? I thought you were leaving the wheels alone. Having trouble hooking up?

Best bet - get a pro to do the work.

It is NOT expensive - and best of all - if its not correctly doen they get to do it again.

Dude,

You get out a HUGE saw and cut 2 HUGE holes in your trunk. Then you get some SUPER GLUE and glue these plastic tubs over the hole.
Then you LINEX the whole thing and your good to go

Easy

Peace
Chip

its actually pretty easy. did it a while back on a buddies car. made a mess though, and car smelled like fiberglass for a while! lol

after all was finished... we all realized we prolly wouldnt do it again. his 335's didnt really look any bigger than the 305 drag radials, so it was kinda pointless.

I've got a line on CCW Classics with black centers in 18x10 & 18x12. BTW: What is this hooking up of which you speak?

Yeah, when I went back and read it, I realized that didn't come out right.

I actually thought you were done for a while. The only way to get that car to hook up is to run slicks. Would look good tubbed with flares

FactoryRaceCar, your car looks awesome! I've got the same wheels, except 18x11.5 with 315/30/18 PS2s coming Thursday. Can you post some more pics of your car to hold me over until my wheels come?
