Default A4 shift *****...That look worth a damn?

Where can I get an A4 shift **** that not only looks good but does not have a big, ugly, clunky button on top? ....
I know it does'nt sound like much and I'm probably the only one; but for some reason, I hate that button. (yeah I know,... get a 6 speed... )
Pictures are indeed welcome!

Here is a link to a vendor that sell them. The price has jump a fair bit.
Just scroll down a bit and you will see the conversion kit.

I tried on of the adapters and installed a 6sp **** but I did not like it. The know was too high (the adapter adds like half inch to it) and did not like action of the shifter afterwards - unless adjusted correctly it will be hard to shift out of park. If I found a shorter 6sp. **** I liked I might have left it on. I changed back to stocker.

The best one I've ever seen comes on the car when you take delivery. It's not made of a material
that's going to get boiling hot in the sun, it's not round so you can drape your hand/wrist over
it, it looks like it belongs there and fits right in with the rest of the decor.
(I've tried others but went back to stock for above reasons)

This is the Chameleon. It requires the adapter that eliminates the push button (the whole **** pushes down to shift). It does raise the shifter a bit but that doesn't bother me. Got it through Ecklers.

The gray ring on the shifter is interchangable with 9 different colors available. Since the picture I have changed from the gray to a carbon fiber ring.

I feel your pain. Although I dont have a corvette, yet, I'm here doing my homework. My camaro was the same way though. Luckily I'm a mechanic in the Air Force and have friends that work in the machine shop. I took the whole shifter and had some cut off the top and they re-threaded it for me. Shorting the hole thing. Worked out wonders for me.

with that shift **** adapter you have to be careful which shift **** you use. i tried converting a while back and the one i purchased reached halfway up the radio. it was absurdly tall.

Yeah I know, it still has the button. But hey, I'll take this billet one over stock any day.
