LS7 Clutch Install
Soo my 98 C5's clutch is slipping. After cruising around in the forums a bit I determined I don't wanna do it myself. I've changed a number of clutches on a variety of cars and I gotta say the C5's is very involved, even more so than my '91 MR2 (and that car was a nightmare to mess with) I called around to a few of the GM dealers here and it looks like it will run about $650 for the install. I'm gonna buy the LS7 clutch kit from the GM Parts House. I've basically got two questions. What makes the LS7 clutch so much better than the LS1/2/6 ones? Is the LS7 flywheel that much lighter than the stock one?
