I am need of a set of drag radials for my 99 C5. Can someone please let me know what my options are as well as what are considered the best and the approximate costs... I do plan on maintaining the same factory size rim. If possible please provide info regarding the best place to purchase them. I thank you in advance!!!!
I run a set of OEM thin spokes (fronts) in the rear with a set of 275/40/17 Nitto 555r's.......HUGE improvement over the runflats with ride and more importantly...TRACTION.
They last a decent amount of time too.
2 used 17" thin spokes purchased on the forum...........$175.00
2 new Nitto 555r's.................................. ...............$300.00
Enjoying a new ride and traction on the street/strip.....PRICELESS.

Nittos are the only way to go if you plan to use as your regular tires. Discount tire direct seems to have the best prices, that is where I got my 335s, though you should stick with 275 or 305(with some sidewall buldge)with the stock rim size.
I found 2 17" magnesium rims on the forum for $225 and got 2 MT drag radials at $400. I just went and got the extra rims and I only use them at the track. Running them all the time on the street is a waste to me.
