Yes, the security guy told me there was another corvette parked next to mine and his got it too. He said his was worse though, it was keyed down both sides. While I was talking with the security person, this girl came over and told him her car was broken into. Her $1200 purse was stolen and yes, she was smokin' hot. (sorry, no pics).
I think it would be better to steer away from parking next to other nice cars. Last time I parked next to a nice car my corvette manual and sunglasses got stolen. But then if you park next to a rust bucket they will open their doors too far and ding your door. This is a never ending battle. Just yesterday someone stole the back license plate from my commercial car.
Come out to my parking garage this morning and find a beer bottle on my decklid and this sheit.
Hopefully with some 1500 grit and compound the ones on the quarter and roof piece will somewhat come out, but its not looking good. Im thinking the decklid will have to be re-done.
When you find this AZZZZZZZZZZhole, keep him at your place until the rest of us show up.
I spent many years in law enforcement and can't for the life of me figure out why people do stuff like that. I've gotten mad at a lot of people over the years, but I can't imagine damaging their property. Maybe the idiot who did it will have his car vandalized for no reason some day. What goes 'round, comes 'round.

Security my FN *** --where was this **** when this **** was happening ----- probably asleep somewhere-- his FN job is to prevent that ****with consistent presence-- i'd kick his FN ***
That makes me so mad, people now a days are so ignorant... they dont realize how much significance and price we put into our cars and they, like said before, get jealous... and even if they are jealous it gives them no right to even touch, much less damage, the things that we have worked so hard to get and go so far out of our way to keep nicer than it would be if it were any other car... I'm sorry, this kind of thing is just rediculous...
I wish you luck in finding out who did this to your beautiful car and hope you the best

Reason: word change
Well I'm sick... really getting tired of seeing this sort of thing (muchless having mine vandalized at a movie theater last year).
Part of the problem (as told to me by the local Police) is that most of the local vandalsim is being done by minors that they cannot punish even if they catch them in the act. I never thought of vandalizing property when I was growing up, because I was too stupid to know that the law could not really do anything - I really thought I would go to jail if I did something wrong. Today kids know all the rules and know they cannot be held accountable. The laws also lean in favor of someone who has nothing. I just won a lawsuit last year and was awarded $5000 (long story), only the person now has no job or assets so I got nothing - did not even go on their credit report because theif is not considered financially irresponsible unless they take it from a Credit Card scam. In this country today the only people who need have any fear of anything are those that have something. My brother won't even buy a car or a home for years now, because he got tired of the stress of "ownership" and he has enough money to never work again. I could rant about all the reasons I think we are in this shape, but everyone has their own opinions.

I was more afraid of what my Dad would do to me than the police. Parents today don't teach their children respect for other people's property. Maybe I'm getting old and grumpy, but it drives me crazy.

DING! DING! DING! DING!.................WE HAVE A WINNER!!! Thats the bottom line here. It all starts at home. Nowdays, most parents are too self absorbed in the daily grind of their own lives to put any real effort into parenting.
My old man woulda knocked the living **** outta me for damaging someones property like that.....Not because he was a bully or abusive, but because he taught me respect of others & their property.
The sad part here is that it was more than likely a kid (17 or under) who did this.......Its not altogether true that "nothing" can be done.....even in that case. You can press charges against the parents & demand the full punishment to the kid. ie: serving time in a juvenile detention center, ankle monitoring system for 6 months, community service, letters of apology in the local paper & restitution.
If you find out who did it, dont lay down & do nothing. Talk to the DA & get something back for your trouble & angst.
I live downtown and have been parking in this garage across the street from my apt for 8 months and no issues until now. There is always security driving around on golf carts...i guess its not good enough.
Maybe he did it. Is the guard new? That caliber of indivual usually spawns that kind of mentallity.
So sorry to see this happened to you. If I'm not in mine, its in the garage at home.
