Try www.cars.com

This is where I found mine. You can type in your price range and your zipcode and search for one in your area. IMHO it is better to buy from an individual owner than a dealer. You can get a good history on the car from an individual along with service records.
Good Luck and welcome.

Especially the C5's. Don't get me wrong...I like the C6's but, I have never owned a vette so I gotta start somewhere. A C6 is just simply out of my price range.

I do know a little about vette's because I used to work at a Corvette restoration shop here in NY dealing primarily from 1953 to 1982. (C1, C2, and C3). Bottom line is, I love the curves and styling of the C5. I've been looking around on ebay and such to see what a 97 thru 99 (high mileage) C5 goes for. I've been finding them to range from $17,000 up to $25,000. For me, owning a high mileage 97 thru 99 is better than not owning a vette at all....lol

What do you guys think? Any advice for the new guy?

Thanx

My advice, don't buy a C6. The C5 still has a better ride (oh yeah, and they look much better)

STAY AWAY FROM EBAY!!!! Too many scams and people getting ripped off.

You should easily find a car in the range you are looking. Planing any mods?

welcome to the addiction and good luck with the hunt. I hope you have better luck at finding one than I have. It's been hard to give my money away.

p.s. let me know if you happen to find a green 6 speed.
