THAT was ME!
If you were on NC 86 heading south just south of Danville, VA in a Torch Red coupe, it was me who exchanged waves!
I had a beautiful ride yesterday, I went to Cary NC to attend my niece's communion ceremony. Of course I had to take the kids for a ride with the top off! I drove home in 80 degree temps 223 miles lid-less! By the time I got to central Va near my home at 8:30 PM, it was 54!! The mountain passes across the Blue Ridge Mtns on US 501 were a HOOT in the Vette (almost as much fun as my sportbike). I had one very close call with a deer (thank God for those brakes), and two other minor deer related brake incidents, and I got 30 mpg! Now, when it gets warmer I have a bug encrusted Corvette to clean!
