I have those exact tires on my Monte Carlo SS but have the Run Flats on my Corvette. I have had them for about 2 years and have gone thru a few or them as they are extremely low profile and have dented a few of my 20in chrome rims with the bad chicago roads here. My tire and wheel guy just told me about a week ago that that tire has been discontinued by Kumho so you might be able to get a good price on some if you can find them.
I have these Tires on my Car. I have not put many miles on them but so far they seem great, quiet great ride and handle just fine. Compared to the OEM Run Flats it is night and day. As for the freezing temps after a few miles the Tires warm up so it should not be a problem. I don't drive in snow or on ice if I can help it.
On my '86 which I used as a DD I had Kumhos and they were great except in Snow. The car was too low for that anyway.
I am surprised that they were discontinued I thought they were their newer design.
Barrier
They seemed to follow every crack and curve in the road no matter what you do or how you drive!
They were not noisy nor did they ride rough. I liked the appearance of the tread and side walls but I just did not like the way they followed the street!
One post on here says he wishes he and gotten them in a lower profile .... 40/35 rather than the 45/40 does anyone else feel that way about the sidewalls on these?
I have had these tires for about 6mo on my 99 vert. They look good , ride good and i $aved a ton over oem rfs. The lower profile may 40/35 may look a bit better but I just got the factory sizes for mine.

Thanks,Matt
Tramlining is normal in the vette no matter what tire you use. My runflats did it far worse than my new Ecstas. But my runflats were practically bald as well.

It's not that bad, I don't regret the stock sizes. But if I could go back and do it again, I would go with the slightly smaller profile.
I have the Kumhos on my 02 and did a 5,800 mile west coast trip and loved them. I think they are one of the best buys out there. I had previously used nothin but Goodyears for past 37 years.
Buy them you will like them. There will some that will tell you that you are making a big mistake. Looking back over the past 37 years I made some mistakes.
So are most people running the stock size or are there others that have gone lower profile and are there any pics of both lower and stock size I could please check out?
I have Kumho's. I rode in a car with SPT & they were a little noisey.(on concrete) I then rode in a car with MX's & they were more noisey. I took a chance & bought a set of ASX all season tires. Guess what.......NO NOISE!!! The tread isn't the woohoo looking speed tires but they are quiet, great in the rain, & for the same $$ they have a 420 Tread wear which means they should last 2x longer than the 220 tread were tires. I often wonder why people buy the ultra racing (Z rated) summer tires only when in a cool rain, they are slick as snot. I'll bet they get caught in the rain more than they race. I personally don't want to get white knuckles when caught in a shower.......JMO.
I had the Kumho Ecsta's on my 96 LT4 and they were great for the money. Quieter than the goodyear's and best of all they could be rotated side to side.
I have Kumho's on my 2000 now and don't have any complaints. For the price I think they are great tires. I have the stock sizes on mine now. I'll probably buy the same thing when the time comes to replace them.
