Default Heads and cam packages

Who has the best heads and cam packages along with the exhaust headers and mass air etc. I thought there was a company in texas with great package for 65--6800 installed. I live in Pensacola. is there also a reputable company in Orlando ?

Best heads would be AFR and the best headers would be LG. Of course thats my personal opinion and some will disagree with me. I used AFR's spec cam but a lot of people on here are using the G5X series cams. Corvette Masters in Orlando is very good.

There are a lot of very good heads and cam packages out there. Recommend you talk to a good tuner about what you want and they can help you from there. You got EG (England Green) down in Florida and I am sure he can help you out. Also give you an opportunity to meet GROND (his car).

EG is connected to ECS and they have a lot of experience and success with heads and cam cars.

If you do a search on ECS you will see what I mean. They posted a while back about a package that cost about $6400 that put out over 500rwhp yet the car maintained its stock driving manners until you mashed the pedal. This was on a Z06.

Trick Flow heads have been putting out some very impressive numbers lately. They are a bit more expensive than others like AFR (which, BTW, is also a very good choice) but as they say, you get what you pay for.

There are many different ways to skin a cat.... talk to LGM, ECS, 21st Century Muscle Cars, LPE, etc etc etc...

Personally I have a G5-X2 cam from LGM in Texas.

Trick Flow Series Heads this is what LAPD is doing for my combo w/the custom grin cam-I will get the specs on the cam toaday and post!

Take a look at my post here on General Forum about "THE BEAST" and $3000 to start the project, I have a parts list of what is going in and it is right in the amount you want to spend!(Total cost that is $6500-6700)

These TFS heads are going to be the best available right now better than the AFR's no bash on the AFR's but the TFS's are going to rock!

Kina like Billstiens shocks and now the KONI's are taking over because they are the best now!

Call Al at 1-877-THE-LAPD and talk to him today about my package or go on their web site at www.thelapd.com they are a supporting vendor here on the forum

Thanks,Matt

Due to your location - check with England Green - he is doing a lot of (good) work in FL

This is a very uneducated and uninformed statement... what metric are they "best" in?

The new Koni's apparently give a nice soft ride while maintaining good handling... but who's to say their truly better at the track at an HPDE?

Think before you speak.

Think before you speak.

Too many variables when you start talking about which aftermarket part is better than the other (AFR vs Trickflow or which headers are better LGM or Kooks etc) Noone ever has an apples to apples comparision and we end up with blanket statements that have no facts to back them up.

Talk to a pro speed shop like 21st Century, or LGM, A&A. These guys are the experts at intalling and tuning and getting the most power. They have PROVEN packages.

Good luck
