Default Having your Z service?

I wanna know where you guys have you Z service at? I really don't want to take it to a Chevy Dealer, as all I heard is bad news from them. Are there any shop that service just the corvette?

i'm located in Nor Cal

Where? In my own garage. Why spend the money taking it in to a dealer or mechanic for routine maintenance? These cars are so easy to work on, it's a waste of money otherwise.

Just had my 30k done at a local dealership, went that route as the car is still under warranty and a lot gets changed. After hearing all the horror stories I was a bit worried but it all went quite well. They did a good job, used the fluids I supplied (reduced the servicing cost), replaced both headlight motors (again), and honestly the car seems as good if not better than before (actually runs cooler & I'm back up in the 25-27mpg range). Car seems as spirited as ever with all the power I felt when I first got her with 4600 on the clock. But... For general maint like oil change, clutch fluid, etc. I normally do that myself either at home or at the base auto hobby shop. As mentioned the car is pretty easy to work on

HTH

I use my local dealer for things covered by the GMPP. Stuff not covered by GMPP I do myself or in the case of oil changes I go to Jiffy Lube. The dealer just replaced 4 tie rod ends for me this last week. Bill without GMPP would have been $725 but was $0.00 under the plan. Cost of doing it myself with parts from Gene Culley would have been close to $400.

What part of Nor Cal? I just moved from that area last year back to UT. If you are anywhere near Fairfield I would highly recommend Woodard Chevrolet. I used them a couple of times and they were great to me. Had an EBCM issue and they stepped right up to fix it and gave me a smokin deal for it as well. The parts manager is named Rich and he is a real good guy and drives a somewhat "massaged" torch red Z06 that is quite entertaining. Good place!
