outdoor temp reading
Anyone else have trouble with their c5 giving false readings for the outside temperature? Sometimes when it's sunny and 78 degrees out, it will lie to me and tell me it's only 46. Then the next thing I know it's reading correctly again.

Yeah, mine has a bad lag time with temps. It will correct itself when I start driving.

Mine flips back and forth. Doens't seem to matter how long I drive. It's not a big deal not knowing the temp...but it concerns me that other 'gremlins' are yet to come! I've heard about those!!!

The sensor itself is only like 13 bucks at the dealer.

My F-150 does it too so it's not just a C5 thing.

With this part it is a simple replacement up in the front of the Vette,POP it out unclip and install new one.
Then no more false temp readings!
Thanks,Matt

Yes very common - search feature will confirm that.
Sensor needs to be replaced and/or sensor connector needs to be cleaned of corrosion.
