About a month ago took my car to Chevy because of bogging down, mis-firing, rough idle, all intermittent, was told throttle body needed to be serviced and it was. One week later it starts again. Took the car in, they cleared the codes drove it 19 miles and said it was fine. One week later same thing all over again. Took the car in, mechanics conferred with Chevy engineers and replaced the computer $1,100 at no charge to me and not under any warrantee of any sort. Got it back, drove better in several ways, but just as I neared home got a little burble. The next day went to start it and it didn’t want to idle. That cleared and ran fine then the next day on the freeway bogged down so bad I had to put the flashers on and pull over to the shoulder. Put it in neutral jockeyed the pedal cleared it out and continued on to work. About once a day this will happen and it is not exactly the same every time. Chevy ran all the wires down before they replaced the computer. Any ideas?
Maybe bad gas?
Did somebody maybe put something in your gas tank? Water, sugar?
Fuel Pump, injectors, filter?
That sucks man-hopefully you find that damn gremlin!

Put in new K&N or fresh serviced? Fuel Types- did you just change? What codes are being flashed and if none, what codes does your history show? Better, why did the dealer offcer to change out the computer out of the goodness of their heart? Is it smoking when it quit or upon initial start? Have you run fuel system cleaner in it? Lots of questions, no firm answers.
New air filter can't recall if K&N. Ran fuel cleaner through it and several tanks of gas from different stations always 91 octaine. Have four codes that have shown up but not with me (I'm at work). Have to rely on dealer for the codes as I don't have a reader and the check engine light was coming on, but not this last time, so far.
Maybe clogged fuel filter or faulty fuel pump? Could also be ignition related, but that should throw a code. Does the Service Engine Soon light come on at all?
