Default New Clear Top Help

Hey guys. The other day I picked up a new clear top to replace the old painted one. I got everything assembled fine but I noticed that the base of the two top latches seems loose and they move around. However, when the top is on the car and latched, it seems totally secure. With this, the top seems to rattle and squeak a lot. Is this normal for the clear tops and are the bases of the two top latches supposed to be completely tight on the top or are they supposed to be sort of loose? Thanks.

They are supposed to be tight. Not "break the screws tight" but they shouldn't be rattling. They tighten up through a hole in the lever that lines up with the screw when the lever is half (I think) open. I'm not by the car right now, there may be a small cover plug you ave to carefully pry out to get to the screw hole, not sure but think thats how it went).
Just take a look at it, it'll make sense.

The latches came already screwed in but they where loose. However, I could not get the screws to go any tighter then how they where when I got it. I tried by hand a power screwdriver. Nothing was tightening those latches down flush with the frame.
