Default B&B Bullets Dilemma

I have an opportunity to buy B&B Bullets on the cheap. Unfortunately, I have reservations against these tips because I am told they are loud. Apparantley my Home Owners Association has a problem with a certain 2004 Vette that drives too fast and plays his music too loud in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, there is an illusion of too fast because the car is so quick(and comparatively loud) and there is proof positive that top down full stereo is loud.

Without upsetting the neighbors any more than I already have, can I run a Bullets setup?

Thanks.

If the neighbors are already upset why worry about it? Seriously, I've run Bullets on my last 3 C5's and have never had a problem. I have a set on order for my 04 and can't wait to receive them. I miss the muscle car sound.

I agree, don't worry about the neighbors, if it is the race/muscle car sound you so desire, then my friend the Bullets are the pipes for you!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy your car, don't worry about others!!!!!

I put Bullets on my track car because I wanted loud.
But, unless you rev it up I don't think your neighbors will be disturbed.

Mine has a nice deep muscle car sound. Keep it at low rpm and it is less annoying than leaf blowers and crap like that.

If you rev it up alot then you will get from the neighbors.

I say get the bullets, and be a good neighbor, turn down the stereo and drive a little slower than everyone else in the neighborhood (when you're in the neighborhood of course)

May push them to the point to do somethign about it.

like others have said, just be respectful. when i moved into my new house last year i told them all i'd be really quiet and even more quiet after 10pm. They ALL said "we have harley's... do you really think we care about noise?!"

I am a contractor. I just did a huge job in a gated community with a VERY picky HOA. After a couple months there, I felt like I was going to work in a prison camp. I guess the idea for these types of neighborhoods is to keep out the riff-raff. My impression is that they are snobs with 0 tolerance for anyone or anything .....unless you fall into thier guidelines of "normal."
BUY THE BULLETS!!!!!!!

Very well said. That's the best way to behave to avoid getting in trouble.

I installed headers with HF cats on my Bullets and the sound level is pretty much the same . Maybe a little more agressive at WOT. But cruising sound did not change much. A cam would be noisy though

You'll be OK as long as you keep cats on it and don't rev it up too much. If you do LT/no cats/Bullets then everyone will hate you.

That being said, my LG Pros and off-road X are waiting to mate up to my Bullets as soon as I can get them put on.

Cats don't make the difference...it's the fact the muffler is the size of a beer can...
