I have used Turtlewax bug and tar remover when I was in a pinch... it did an OK job, but took a few attemptes to get pin sap off the paint.

I have also used WD-40, that does a good job but strips the wax.

I have also used Stoner's Tarminator which is my preferred solution

I'd use the "Bug & Tar remover".

Goo Gone should work but then you would have to get that off of your car also.

I'd go with a bit of WD-40... Works like a charm -- just rewax afterwards!

Hope you learned your lesson now about parking near a pine tree.

This did the trick for me. Sap does suck though.

"Stoner's" also makes a bug/tar remover... works great on sap.

Turtle Wax Ice does a pretty good job with Tree Sap and Road Tar also.

clay bar, with a little bit of car wash as lubricant. if that doesn't work, try a few drops of dawn with the clay bar. but you will most likely have to reapply your polish/sealant/wax.

this is going to sound funny but try some mayonnaise, some old tree cutter guy showed me that. when he was cutting pine trees he would use it to get the sap off his hands.

I would wash the car with hot water first. You could take a towel soaked in hot water and lay it on the bad spots. Should melt the goo and come right off with a followup wash with one of the car washing detergents.

I made the mistake of parking under a sappy tree in my other car. A clay bar and lubricant did the trick, but it took a VERY long time to get all of the sap off. It felt like I had tennis elbow afterwards, too!

you're not crazy for suggesting that. i've heard that one also.

hot hot water might loosen it. 3m general purpose adhesive cleaner would do the trick. tarminator should help a bit and lastly...clay bar.

AVOID parking under pine trees(if you can).
