I've been there 3 times - June '95...got to "first start" a yellow/black C4!
June '97 watched them building the first year c5's (the love affair began) and saw my first convertible and it was in Medium Purple Pearl Metallic!
October 2005 - saw the first preproduction C6 convertibles (got a ride in one on the short test track behind the building.) My buddy's cousin does work there and gave us a two hour tour of both sides (Cadillac XLR and Corvette). Got to "first start" a silver C6 coupe.
I've had great memories of the plant and the museum. No Corvette enthusiast should leave this planet without a visit to both IMHO!
How'd you like that drive? Ain't it a killer? We did it in one day......don't think I'll try that again. Glad you enjoyed yourself. We had a blast too.
