Default JBA headers

Anyone have any experience with the JBA shorty headers? I read an article on the GTO application and the results were impressive. Am considering for my 03 z mostly stock.

Here's a recent discussion of shorty headers...
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...shorty+headers
Do a search using "shorty headers" or "JBA headers" or "B&B headers" for more information. You'll never get a consensus.

Yes I did search and found same info. Good info there. Just wondering if anyone out there had tried this particular brand. Am considering either JBA or B&B. Anyone have anything to add?

I put them on my 04 GTO. Never got to verify HP from the JBA's alone. I also added LS6 heads and LS6 cam. The combo added ~66 rwhp with a tune. They were not much louder then stock. I should have hot the ceramic coated ones to reduce temps. I melted a couple plug wires.

I will remember that if I go with the JBA. May add the kool sox on the wires for extra protection. Thanks for your input. I want to say without any other changes the article I read found about 30 hp on the GTO. I doubt you would see that on every application but this was in one of the Pontiac publications.

I remember seeing that too. I think many, many owners proved that wrong. Do a search over on ls1gto.com for more details.

I installed a set on a 02 Camaro Z28....and could noktice that the car had beter throttle responce sounded a bit better and my

SOTP dyon said it seemed diffrent....Ive raced bikes and flown planes so I trust my SOTP dyno to tell me when somthing is "diffrent" it would be tough to definitavely say how much better it was....but I got the set used ...nearly 1/2 price....

I was considering the JBA shorty headers too. Still on the fence.

I have not found any local vettes with them.

I can only add that since JBA is local, I know several people who swear by them. They consider them very knowledgeable and their products top notch.

Of course JBA is a major mustang tuner and these opinions came from Mustang owners...

Yes I have a friend that is into mustangs and most everyone of them have good things to say about JBA. I think I am going to give them a try. Will post my impressions when I get them on.
