Default Exhaust enhancement plates?

In an effort to save some shekels I had the "model shop" cut me an aluminum plate (4-1/2 x 7-1/2 x 1/8). I know the aftermarket plates are held on by 3M double sided foam adhesive tape. My question is how? Is there just a single strip along the top of the plate or a strip along the sides of the plate?

The area it gets mounted to is at an angle, does the plate follow that angle or are there some "spacers" to make it sit straight?

I guess what I'm asking is how does it mount? Photos anyone???

Yes the plate mounts at an angle. You apply tape to the top of the ribs. I believe that I used 3 strips. I used the 3M heavy duty velcro. With all of these tapes you want to allow the tape to cure after application for 24 hours before you try removing your plate. Works great and you can remove it anytime you want to do a through cleaning.
