I bought my first vette in December. I was just looking for a decent C5 with a manual. When I stumbled across a 43K mile, 6 speed beauty in my area for a great price, my eyes lit up. They nearly popped out of my head when I realized it was the stunning Millenium Yellow, one of the most awesome colors ever put on an automobile.
C5's get a ton of looks as they are, but adding yellow paint that's brighter than the sun nearly makes gawkers drive off the road. I feel like a celebrity driving this car - the attention is still sometimes hard for me to believe.
So, for you Millenium Yellow owners (and admirers), this thread is for you. It's a damn proud 7% of us!

I love the Yellow even though I drive a black one. Could not pass on the black 03 with 3,400 miles on it last summer.. i am in the process of painting my garage (the inside walls) Millenium Yellow. The the black and white garagewares (race deck) goes down soon.
The wife is a high school teacher, and when she drives the car to school (albeit rarely ) always gets lots of compliments from the kids. It is such an eye catcher, and has our name on the license plate. Sure glad she gets along with the kids!
I certainly respect the MY owners for their love of the color but I'd never own a yellow vette (or any car or truck). I've had torch red and now light pewter metallic. I'd probably go for some shade of darker blue for my next vette.
