Default Who's tempted to trade in for LS3?

O.k. first of all i love my C5. Worked hard to get it & said it wasnt ever going anywhere, nor was i planning to trade in for a C6. But since the '08 will have 430 ponies or 436 w/optional exhuast, that's really got me tempted. Damn, that's more than a C5 Z06 plus all the other cushy updates.

Anyone else considering it?

Now if they could just make it so it doesn't look like the Viper from the front, I'd think about it... but it'd be an addition... I won't trade MVD for it.

I might be tempted to put an LS3 in my C5 down the road but the C6 doesn't do much for me. Do you know if the LS3 will have the displacement on demand?

I don't think it will...

I like new vettes more . Especially that leather two tone they got going now. But at at least 2x the cost of my 20k mile C5 it is not worth it to me.

My 99 still makes me smile every time i drive it, even if it "only" has about 350 hp. It's paid for, runs like a champ and looks fantastic -- I'd rather save my money for the other pleasures in life.

Every view of the C6 is killer - EXCEPT for the front view.

I won't be trading the C5 in, but wife wants to add a C6 in the future. Probably buy used, let someone else take the depreciation hit. Besides, no one takes better care of their cars then us vette owners.

I am not considering a new 08 C6, but the 05 and 06's are sure in my price range, and I don't mind my C5 either, but you know...

the grass is always greener on the other side.

I have tossed around the idea and I think next spring I might be tempted to trade in my C5 for a 06 C6.

I can't decide if I should get a discounted '07 or get the '08 or just keep what I have. I love my '03 very much so I may just keep it. What a nice decision to have!

I know this won't be a popular opinion, but my 345 HP 1998 has more horsepower than I need or use and it looks great. I agree with the other person, I will spend (or save) my money elsewhere.

Honestly, I would much rather have the C6 ZO6, more power, I think the over look is better and that is my dream car.

The C5 curves are much more appealing to me overall.

$8K for a Procharger or Paxton = over 500rwhp + same driveability as stock.

That cannot possibly be the main reason you are willing to pay $50K for the '08.
