No. I have both the Crazy Cowboy and the Frost King. They are very different. I just got them in recently so I don't really have full info on them yet.
I can tell you the Frost King is MUCH easier to install. Self adhesive, stretches better/fits better. No need for foil tape on the seams (just overlap them a bit).
I talked to Crazy Cowboy before starting and told them I'd be using both kits. They advised putting theirs down first and Frost King on top. That may be why I don't have the "smell".
I'll let you know how well it works in a week. I'm leaving for Bowling Green tomorrow morning. I should know soon enough if it helped.

I guess I have a project ahead of me, unless I just ignore it.
Before you tear everything out (thats a ton of work) you may think about a ceramic coated tunnel plate. They aren't that expensive, I think it would be easier to accomplish, and I hear they work wonders for heat, sound, and stiffness.

The added stiffness is marked , and the heat issue very diminished. The FK addition will also quieten the vibrations inside...Course, you can drive with the window down !

Already had it, in fact, that was installed (by me) first. I have already taken out my FROSTKING out and replaced it. Much better.
Mine is 100% FrostKing, and I've never noticed that type of smell. However, my tunnel was never extremely hot. I did it more for sound insulation.
100% Frostking here, did the floors, tunnel, bulkhead and whole rear tub. No smells at all. Very dissapointed with the level of sound reduction... barely noticeable improvement. If I could get that time and money back I would... not to mention the car weighs about 10 lbs more now than it did before. Not an effective weight/sound tradeoff.

if you would of asked here first, many would of told you that FK is an entry level product. Not good enough for loud exhausts or loud stereo applications.
But if the added weight bothers you, an install of Dynamat Xtreme will add around 80 to 100 lbs
