I've noticed that my right front tire is showing a lot wear on the inside edge. The other tires look fine... The car doesn't pull to the side while driving but does seem to have a noticable rhythmic vibration at highway speeds.
Could the balance be off or does this sound like an alignment problem?

A balance problem won't cause what you're seeing - that is most definitely an alignment issue.
My recommendation is to take your car to a shop that is experienced with Corvettes and have them perform a FOUR-wheel alignment, and then take your car to a place that will perform a road force balance (even better if the same shop can do both things).
