Today, a fobs seller tried to program for my 97 C5 but he cant....

He ask me for oem cd player but I bought the car with a aftermarket stereo!!!!!.

I tried to install a 97 Camaro OEM that is the same, but, the past owner cut the conections, so I can´t install the Camaro´s one nor the oem of Vette....

Is there any other way to program the fob?

You can look in the owners manual - it gives instructions for programming the remotes.

I'm not sure what all that has to do with your fobs. All you need is the correct fob and the DIC as described in above post. He's probably trying to program a 2001 and up fob to the 97 and it can't be done. You must have the correct fob to start with.

Why would he think the radio had anything to do with it?

Oh, and in the case of the original poster,,,, after a dead battery I believe all you need to do is hold the lock andunlock buttons down for a few seconds and the car will "remember" your fob. I believe the long process is only necessary when programming a NEW fob.

I think......

If I may have the owners manual, I didnt asked !

On the other hand, the remote is too strange or too exact fo 97-99 so the 2000 and up is a lot different.

There´s no other CHevrolet that uses tha remote with the pasive on and off switch, so is the correct.

Li ke I said in other post, the problem is that dont show the option of fob learn in the dash doing the correct steps
