how long will a battery last?
A better solution is to drive the vette more!!

No real trouble to hook it up, it comes with a standard hook up, that you can place onto your battery, then all you do is plug it in, no trouble at all.
As for electricity, it only charges when needed. Thats what makes it a great tool, you cannot overcharge your battery. The only elctricity it uses is the LED when not charging. When it determines a charge is needed it comes on and turns off when finished.
Another point is that it takes the strain of your alternator. If you battery needs a charge drving it will charge it, however this need is non existent if the battery if always fully charged. Taking that extra demand off the alternater.
Batteries are relatively cheap, a dead battery at the wrong time can be a real hassle. So its also a dependabilty issue.
