I understand that GMPP Extended Warranty will pay for a transmission repair to a 3rd Party (non-dealership) vendor that is ASE Certified. Is that true?

That way you are 100% certain and you can have them send you something in writing!

Yes... I made the call last week and they said that I can take my car anywhere that is ASE certified and they would pay for it.
When you take the car in to your preferred shop they will get authorization before they tear into anything from GMPP.
But I do agree get it in writing as even GMPP can be shady too
