Default memory recall question

04 Z w/ approx 23K DD, memory seat recall stopped working, seat recall works using memory button after key is in ignition, also stumbled on this if I push memory button prior to putting key in ignition then put key in ignition seat returns to proper position also changed batteries in FOB doors always lock and unlock so what is possibly wrong.
Thanks

By what you have posted it sounds like it is working correctly. The memory is activated only by using the key fob. If you get in the car without needing the fob the memory is not activated.

I have not been overly concerned but my 2003 with 32k does something similar. I think it is that I have easy exit option on and the seat does not slide back when the key comes out of the ignition all of the time. Then sometimes it does but the setting feels off after getting into the car so hitting the memory 1 button moves the seat like an inch or so and everything settles in.

I have just gotten in the habit of tapping the memory button before I roll the car out. *shrug*
