Tire pressure sensor

While riding home this weekend the car started to chime and DIC said left front tire flat, reduced handling, do not exceed 55 mph. I have never had a flat.
When I returned home the tire did not look flat so I checked with gauge and it was normal tire pressure. Restarted engine and no warning? Is this a sign that maybe the TPS is going? What is life span for 01? Thanks

Check ALL your tires for air pressure, some sensors may be installed in the wrong place. It happened to me when I bought mine with new rear tires.

More than likely the battery is starting to go dead in the sensor. GM Parts House had the best prices when I replaced all of mine.
