I tried different things with mine but the one side kept falling off. I'm trying super glue on the two ends next time!

slide the back side first going towards the rear...you can press on the lens to make a gap between the plastic(body) and the lens, then slide it forward to keep it in place. Be carefull with the plastic.....

Is it supposed to be flush with the lens or does it bow out?

Mine don't "bow" out but do have a gap at the bottom near the back and I think that's the best it will fit...

Ok, got it now. I bought this off another forum member, but it didn't have instructions. I finally got them on. I wasn't using enough force.
Thanks all!!

I had to use a dremel and cut the profile on the back edge back about 5/16" before it would fit and not bow out.

If installed correctly, it will NOT bow out. It is a bit frustrating, but push that damn thing in.

I remember when my buddy was installing those on his new Z. He finally walked away and I got rough with it.
