This is why I like Formula 1

The cars are pretty cool too, but damn do their wheels dust

FWIW, the easiest way I've found to clean brake dust from the wheels is using a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.

I think the best fix is to buy flat black rims. FWIW, I dialy drive on HAWK HP pads. They dust and sound like bus brakes. But they also stop too.

I've got 35k on my AC ceramics on my "03, LOVE'EM. I put them on the first month due to heavy dust, and squeaking. Can't say I have noticed any "loss of performance" in my driving.
