Every time I read a vette mag or go through the forum it seems most of the chargers, every one including mod shops seem to use is pro tech. I was reading up on Kenne Bell superchargers, they seem like a quality and powerful piece. Has anybody used it?
Kenne bells are the best supercharger avaliable for fords. Not sure about corvettes have never seen one with it. but they are twin screw chargers which in better than centrifical (because centrificals arent always in boost) and better than roots (because roots dont stay in boost all the way to redline) twin screws are the best choice for street/strip.

I have the intercooled magnuson which of course requires a hood too. I bought the car with it already on the car and I absolutely love it. With a 3.1 pulley, it put down 519.8 rwhp and 480tq. Would this have been my choice if the car didn't already have it? I'm not sure it would. I love the hood, but it is makes this set up alot more expensive than the others. I have a lot of friends putting down anywhere from 750 to 1200 rwhp and I feel a bit stuck. Unable to achieve these levels of power without overdriving the crap out of the blower and spraying it too. At the same time, I want reliability. I don't want to keep throwing money at my car so I can be the fastest. It's limitations may be my saving grace in that respect.
Go with the A&A kit or ECS kit. Not only are they great kits and have proven time and time again the power they make is awesome..but they also have great customer service.
I don't like the KenneBell unit because you have to replace the hood..and I figure you're already spending between 7-9k on the supercharger itself(not including labor if you don't do it yourself), why drop another 1,500-2k on a hood also!!

The Kenne-Bell C5 kit is $6999 including the hood, injectors, Boost-A-Pump, and flash tuner. No other parts needed. Yes, there will be the additional expense to have the hood painted.
IMO, there isn't enough difference in price between any of the top kits to have that drive a decision. If $1k here or there is a big deal to a person, FI is probably not for them. I think it's better to just pick the kit that seems best for a given persons's needs and go from there.
One thing the KB seems to have over the competition is massive low-end torque. It also doesn't have an intercooler blocking the radiator. For these reasons, I'm probably going to go with the K-B, but the A&A and ECS units are top-quality too. You can't go wrong with any of those three, imo.
