I read a thread almost a year ago and he said he was going to retire from CF. I know many members tried to talk him out of it but when certain CF members (mostly new members) would tell him he is wrong or question his knowledge he would get very upset. The other members told him to ignore them but I guess it really would get to him. He was very helpful and will be greatly missed. Maybe someday he will join CF discussions again.
If anyone has an update on Evil Twin then let us know. Some weeks I am too busy to keep up with all the treads and I may have missed something.

Real shame to see such a valuable individual like him go. I can recall a couple of heated exchanges with him and some other CF members, but didn't realize it drove him away. Hope he comes back. He offered me some help on a coffee spill issue a while ago. Great guy.
Bill aka Evil-Twin posted a while back, after his temporary forum leave, but if I remember correctly, he has other interests that consume much of his time.

I PM'd him a few months back for a question I had and he responded to me so he may still be checking PM's. I agree with everyone here that he was/is a true Forum asset, knowledge and experience like his certainly doesn't grow on trees!

He retired for some time and came back (which I was happy to see). I too have PM'ed him a couple of times and he is always willing to help. Stand up guy!
He is not the only one that has left, or thinking of doing so.
For the past couple of years many 'new' people have joined the C5 section. Unfortunately, many of these have brought with them habits for posting that are more appropriate to other Forums.
Too many times individuals post for the purpose of posting - with little or no regard to the Forum Rules (most haven't read them), or for the specific purpose of eliciting controversy.
In the latter case, most of them show their immaturity and stupidity via those type posts. Then, to make a bad situation worse, others (with the same mentality of a two year old) post responses
Really, it is sad.

...............but we must continue to set the example and not get drawn into *issin* matches. Many times I have held back from posting what I really thought. And in the end I am usually glad I kept my mouth shut.

Dennis is correct and that's why Bill has retired from posting. Too many newbies spouting urban legend type comments then challenging his knowledge and attacking his caustic humor when he replied with factual info.
Such a waste to lose such valuable information from a true Corvette C5engineer.
Way too often the young feel they know it all and we "old farts" don't know a thing.
I see it all the time in my business, age, wisdom, and time actually doing the job are not valued at all by the young and often by management.
I miss ET's posts and extensive knowledge of everything C5
