Why not try the source? Call Andy at A&A, they are in Oxnard. Depending on which side of LA you are on, and traffic, they are about an hour or so away.

I have read in the forum that bicycle shops may have the capability to weld Ti, as the higher-end bikes are made of titanium. Just a thought...

A quick internet search under titanium welding turnded this up in Carson,Ca.
http://www.interfacewelding.com/

Let us know if this works out as I am considering the same thing

EDIT: Don't bother,I called them for you, they do inertia welding...IOW,it needs to be able to fit in a lathe type device to work

They can't do it,,sorry

There is a shop that will weld titanium near my house (City of Commerce) but the exhaust has to be off the car since they don't have a lift.

I have already appoached them about this and will take my exhaust to them next week.

Let me know if you want their number.

Ti is very hard to weld because it reacts so bad with oxygen or hydrogen and gets embrittled. To get good Ti welds, you have to weld it in a chamber filled with inert gas (argon or helium) or use a a ton of shielding gas. Make sure the person doing the work has experience before you let them go to town with your parts.
