Bought new exhaust...can someone please tell me how high I have to have the car to put new mufflers on? I don't have a lift or know anyone who does so I will be doing this on the garage floor. Thanks for any and all help.
I agree........take them to a muffler shop and have them do it. The alignment "challenges" you will face with the tips will make it worth it to hold someone else accountable for that....trust me on this....
Putting your cars butt end up so high off the ground is NOT for the faint of heart. 2 1/2 feet is minimum, including undoing the rear swar bar to help make it easier.
Drive around on a Saturday, late afternoon for the 'generic' type shops with lifts and see if they will lift it for you. Takes about 1/2 hour at most. Then if they are not even, you can back your car on ramps and 'fine tune' it to fit.
