Looking at a 2003 painted this color...I was told that it was only available a short time....Does anyone know why it was discontinued so quickly and how well it holds up?

Love mine...holds up fine...get alot of compliments on the color
GM decided to change up the color wheel for the C6s in '05, and spiral gray was out. I can't remember what replaced it, though.
'04 colors that I remember: black, mag red II, torch red, machine silver, spiral gray, millennium yellow, arctic white, lemans blue
'05 colors that I remember: black, mag red II, victory red, (they had some other red very briefly at the beginning of the model year, and monterey red very briefly at the end of the model year), millennium yellow (and velocity yellow briefly at the end of the model year), machine silver, arctic white, lemans blue, daytona sunset orange metallic
Spiral gray is a great color for a daily driver. It doesn't look too bad when it is dirty, but it looks spectacular when clean and polished.

it's not silver or pewter. it's this wicked metallic gray paint that lasts and lasts. you won't be disappointed. i like the blue and the green but this color is my favorite.
Isn't the old C1's, C2's and C3's in gray? It reminds me of a flashback to the classic corvettes. The C5 is a flashback mostly to the stingray away, that's why I am not hot for the C-6.
What is the C-6 trying to be anyway, a copy of the other exotics?
Snitz, your car is now officially my wallpaper - and in the spring is likely to cause a weight loss in my wallet purchasing rear quarters! Car looks very
It's a beautiful color - don't see why it wouldn't hold up just fine.
you know, in my opinion, every color matches the car. Maybe its just the overall design of the car that allows colors to blend and flow so evenly. I really love pewter on corvettes, but I hate it on any other car. Same with red.
One of the most beautiful colors ! Should hold just like any other paint job from the factory!
Buy it!
Thanks,Matt
One of my all time favorite C5 colors in the history of the Corvette. My good buddy Dave's (fellow CF member "Myvettedream") MSG C5 coupe is a stunning example!
