Default rookie,needs advice

just bought my first c5. 2002 with 80000 miles. looking to add exhaust, any advice on what to buy ? also i should probably replace the shocks.i thought i read on this sight that you could replace the standard shocks with z06 shocks . if so would this improve the handling? and one last question my oil pressure is running about 80 on the guage is that normal? thanks for any help you can give me

Search feature is your friend, tons of info... but this should help you out.

1) Buy exhaust based on looks and sound, there really aren't much performance gain regardless of claim. Everyone will tell you theirs are the best. I have B&B Bullets... they are the best.

2) Search for "Bilstein Sports", Koni are also good shocks. Another popular swap on a budget are C6 Z06 shocks. C5 Z06 shocks are too expensive compared to what else is out there. I replaced mine at 60k miles... it was a night and day difference. Also recommend you switch to C5 Z06 Sway Bars while you are under there... they run about 230 bucks for the set. Its a good upgrade.

3) Your oil pressure sensor likely failed. If you DIC readout for your gauge also reads over 80 psi (140ish I believe), then you need a new sensor... it is common.

Sorry, I have the best exhaust, GHL's!
Try to see/listen to some in person before deciding.
