I currently live in an apartment and now have a 2001 Z06. The good thing is my parking is underground so it is covered and gated. I couldn't stand to leave it outside day after day. This car is my daily driver and comes out well below my budgeted amount for car payment and insurance.

It is almost insane, at my apartment complex there are 4-5 BMW Z4's, a Lotus Elise, a few new BMW 3 series cars, a few CLK Mercedes, a Saleen mustang (new style) along with a ton of SUV's most of which cost way more than my Z06.

If I was in almost any other state than California I would be in a house already. When a 650sqft condo is $350K and a starter house is $700K even without the Z it is not practical to buy. It just sucks that my rent is more than my friends mortgage payment. I am looking to get out of California after I get a bit more time under my belt in my current position.

For example look how many pictures you see on here where someone is posting pics of their new to them Corvette sitting in front of their apartment building in the hood. Between that and insurance gas certainly can make a difference whether they are out cruising or not.

DeeGee is right it's all tax here! $8 a gallon here it goes up every week at the moment! 1p per litre a week

They went metric with petrol and sell it by the litre now! So when they put the price up 1p per litre that 4.5p per gallon here! It's so they can rip us off better!

They don't call it rip off Britain for nothing!

The petrol companies stink in the UK! BIGGEST RIP MERCHANTS OUT!

The govermant tax petrol to death if they took all the tax off we would be paying about $2 a gallon!

You guys have it easy in the USA!

I purchased a Range device. As for keeping it in V8 mode, it performs as promised. As for better fuel mileage, I have not experienced that.
