Suspension Questions
Steering wheel canted to the left and becoming progressively worse (2-3 degrees a week-about 600 miles.)
Alignment done recently. All adjustments checked to make sure they are still tight 2 days ago. Nothing found.
During inspection, leaf spring looks to show the beginning stages of delamination (2-3 areas where surface fibers are starting to pull away from the spring.)
There is a 2 inch rub spot on the sway bar on the left side where it looks like it has been contacting the lower control arm.
Question:
How common are broken composite leafs? Is this one broken or is the condition described normal for this part?
I am planning to do track days and mountain roads in this car, equipped with the F-45 suspension. In your opinion, if the spring is broken, should I replace with another spring (Z06?) or go all the way to coil-overs?
Thanks,
Rad
