I need help with a cam question: have headers, cam and pulley being put on, already have cai, ported throttle body and tune---- need numbers on a mild cam that will give a lope and performance but not effect its street manners. I use my Z as a weekender/ funcar. What do ya'll think?

Probably best to ask this question on LS1tech.com in the internal engine section. There's some good cam guru's over there. You can either go with a custom cam or some of the popular off the shelfers. Best bang for the buck is TSP (Texas Speed) cam packages, which cost about half as much as some other packages and the quality is just as good. A TSP228R might serve you well, or maybe a futral cam like the F11. for something a little bigger, the LG G5X3 is very popular and puts out good numbers, but it may be a little too much depending on how stock-like you want the street manner to be. Also, LG is expensive, best to just buy the cam and get the other parts at TSP or elsewhere. Good luck

Very happy with my A&A custom grind 220/224 .581 114LSA comp cam. It has just enough of a lope to let you know it's probably not stock but not enough to make you sea-sick in traffic or in a drive through. It will pass a smog sniffer test, idles at 825rpm, never stalls and delivers 409rwhp/388 rwtq.

The under the curve torque was my biggest surprise, it puts down 340ft lbs at the rear wheels at 2500rpm.
