Default oil burning issue?

hi guys, i bought a 2001 zo6 with 11k miles a couple of months ago, and have since added about 900 miles on it.my question is regarding burning oil, my oil level seems to be full still but the exhaust is always black and wet and the back of the car has black specks all over , even right after i wash it.would this be because of oil burning?

Might be, this was an issue w/ 2001..did the previous owner ever get the rings replaced? Or do you have any other info on the car, such as service history?

i dont think the rings were ever touched, other then using more oil how bad of a problem is it? also the car has some work done to it ,procharger and exhaust etc.

Could be some oil consumption. You have a Procharger....could be an "incorrect" tune. Possibly running rich at certain RPM. Oil smoke is blueish gray. Too much fuel is black smoke.

Black specs = carbon. Not oil. If you cannot measure oil consumption, then it's fuel.

If its fuel and not oil feel lucky.

Running rich is safe especially on forced induction.

Contact ECS and ask for them to possibly retune the vehicle but only if they recommend it.

Forced induction is safe when run rich...

You might do a methonal/alcohol kit to help ..ECS is top notch so give them a call and discuss.

BTW..keep in mind .....all vettes get black specs on the rear bumper...Its part of the aerodynamics.

Was the meth kit installed by ESC before the tune? That could be a source of inaccuracy in the tune.
