Default z06 oem rear wheels on front?

For those have tried this, do the wheels stick out past the front fender when this is done?

If you run something like 265/35 or 275/35 you're pretty flush. Run 295 and up and they stick out. I run this setup for track with 295/35 or 305/35 or 315/30. The 315/30-18 on the front sticks out about an inch. I've got my track wheels mounted right now so I just looked. If I can find the digital camera before I dismount them I'll take a picture so you can see.

Do they rub at full lock??

I'm thinking about putting the OEM rears up front and going with an 18x12 out back

I ran the rears with the stock Supercars (295/35-18) in the front for a couple of track weekends. They hit my DRM brake duct extension a bit at full lock. If you're stock then you should be ok. Mine is also lowered on the stock bolts by the GM recommended amount. So not fully down. That's also with -2.0 camber in the front so the tires don't exactly sit straight. It only rubs on full lock on the right side (left turn). Other side it just clears the duct extensions. This seems to be common.

You should be fine and on bumps they should not come up and hit the fender lip either.

18x12 out back without a minitub? Those will stick out. I've got some 18x12 CCWs with 335s on them and they do stick out. They just clear the inner fender by a hair. And that is after I took the inner fenders and riveted them to get the slop out of them. 18x11 CCWs with 315/30 in the front and those hit the ducts at full lock a bit more. But I seldom do a full lock turn on the track. Well unless I did something stupid...

I'm going to try to put rears up front over C6 Z06 brakes and see if they clear tomorrow actually. Hopefully it clears or I need just a tiny spacer. I tried the back and they clear the C6 Z06 brakes.

Bringing back an old threaf, did you ever try this and did it work? Or has anyone else tried it?

I installed the new oem C6 Z06 6 piston brakes on the front, then could not install the wheels back on, so I had to take the 6 piston calipers back off. I had to buy another caliper because I tried to make it work by shaving off the edge to make it fit. (not even close)
the wheels back on (C5 Zo6 18x10.5), short of putting big giant spacers they will not fit. waiting to buy some wheels to fit the big brakes.
btw on the back I have 18x12 with 345x18 tires

Is your car mini-tubbed? or spacers? I have the 18x12's House of Wheels repros with 335's out back but would like to run 345's.

Anyone have any pics of 315/30's on the 10.5 OEM's up front?

These factory Speedline 18 X 10.5 right? I have read some repros will not work, what size tires are you running on them?

You may want to try a factory wheel on the front, susposedly they fit over the C6 Z06 brakes without spacers. Others have said the repros do not clear the calipers.

I have 18x10.5 OEM rear C5 Z06 wheels on all four corners running 315/30/18 Pirelli PZero Corsa.

The OEM 18x10.5 should fit over the C6 Z06 front calipers. I don't have a personal experience with this, but it has been tried by people over in the Autocross/RoadRacing subforum. The key is that the wheels have to be the OEM one. Replicas won't fit over them.

I have pictures of my car but they won't show you much of anything as far as the 315/30/18 fitting up front goes. Here they are:

Thanks, that is what I have read as well, C6 Z06 guys running the OEM rear wheels on all 4 for autocross. I am going to give it try, any issues with the 315s on the rear, do they rub anywhere did you have to trim anything? I want to run 275/35/18s on the front on the 10.5" whhels, still undecided on the rear tire size. Car looks great love the black out look.

There is no issue regarding the tires. The wheels have a slight issue of rubbing the front upper control arms only at full turns. The rubbing is so slight though, just enough to shave off paint at the lip.

Check the real OD of the 275/35/18 compared to the 315/30/18 and no, not the nominal from calculations, you need to find the numbers published by the tire manufacturer. You don't want the front larger than the rear.

This isn't entirely accurate. I have OEM 18s on the front and I dont like the look. While you are correct about a 265 or 275 tire not sticking out, the rim itself does stick out, and it's the same amount regardless of tire size. I will be getting rid of the wheels as soon as it's time for new tires.

What tires are you running, do you have any pictures?

275/35zr18 vredesteins. The tires arent the issue. The rims are. At the tread, the tires are completely covered by the fender. But because 275/35 tires are not ideal for a 10.5" rim, they stretch out. Regardless of tire size, the point where the tire meets the rim WILL stick out past the fenders.

I am curious as to if you know what your front camber is at. I have seen a 285/35/18 mounted up front on a 18"x10.5" Alcoa GM Z06 wheel at -1.75 front camber and it did not stick out nearly as much.
